QantasLink currently operate scheduled commercial flights from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island. Due to ongoing international and domestic travel restrictions, the weekly flight schedule is inconsistent however we are confident that this will return to some normality once restrictions are eased and consumer confidence increases.
Please note: Passengers travelling by air are encouraged to arrive at Adelaide Airport for check-in at least 60-minutes prior to departure.
Sealink operate a consistent passenger/vehicle ferry service between Cape Jervis on mainland Australia to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island.
Kangaroo Island Connect operate a fast passenger-only ferry service at least twice a day.
Please note: Passengers travelling by ferry are encouraged to arrive at Cape Jervis for check-in at least 30-minutes prior to departure.
Guests travelling to Kangaroo Island from Sydney will need to fly via Adelaide (ADL).
Most Australian domestic airlines operate multiple flights per day from Sydney (SYD) to Adelaide (ADL), including:
From Adelaide, guests can fly to Kangaroo Island (KGC) with QantasLink.
Guests travelling to Kangaroo Island from Melbourne will need to fly via Adelaide (ADL).
Most Australian domestic airlines operate multiple flights per day from Melbourne (MEL) to Adelaide (ADL), including:
From Adelaide, guests can fly to Kangaroo Island (KGC) with Regional Express (Rex) or QantasLink.
QantasLink also operate seasonal flights from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport (MEL) direct to Kangaroo Island (KGC). Operating dates vary each season, but are approximately mid-December through to the end of January.
From Adelaide, guests can fly to Kangaroo Island (KGC) with QantasLink.
Another option is to drive from Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road and Fleurieu Peninsula.

Guests travelling to Kangaroo Island from Hobart will need to fly via Adelaide (ADL).
